Slacker I am and a slacker I will be...here is an "update"
Well we did make it to Platteville Colorado. Had a good visit with family. It was HOT! Note to self: don't visit until AC has been turned on! I got elevation sickness in the mile high city, I even puked on Wynkoop and 18th! We left the morning of the tornadoes that went through Greeley and Windsor, they were pretty devastating. Another note to self: don't visit in spring! We went through the most flattest land on earth I tell ya. There really is a lot of nothing out there...oy. Now I have been to 21 states and I even got the magnets to prove it!

Over the next couple of months we are revamping our living room, new tv and furniture! Yes no more cat pee sofa! Scott is even learning how to do crown molding. Little by little this place is shaping up.

Restaurant note: Texas Roadhouse has some tasty vittles! The ribs fall off the bone and melt in your mouth! We tried the one in Cool Springs by the Harley dealer and I must say it was the best ribs yet. Take that Famous Dave's with your tough ribs! HA!

I guess that is for now...I might even blog sooner than 6 weeks. Ah to dream...

300 miles to Platteville

We're in North Platte Nebraska right now. There sure is a lot of nothing out there! We did a loooong trek on "scenic" i-80. We'll go through Cheyenne Wyoming tomorrow. I think we are stopping at the ICBM Missile Museum there as well. Thank God for the XM Radio in the rental car. We have been driving, talking, eating, taking pictures of scenery and signs...I missed the Kickapoo State Park sign though! Well...that's it for now. Time to rest...sleep...regurgitate Taco John's...yum.

dogs are dropped off...waiting on R'Lena to bring Scott to get the rental car...then load up...get the gps working...stop for caffeine.
stomach hurts...ankle is strained...knees hurt...good thing I will be in a car for 3 days huh?

No Sleep Til....Peoria?

We are leaving for Colorado tomorrow...and we are taking a longer route on the way there to hit some states we have not seen before. We'll go north...Kentucky, Ohio then go west...Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming...then maybe stop at the ICBM museum...then we drop down in to Colorado. Scott also mentioned the largest ball of twine. I guess we will play that one by ear. But the best part is 5 more state magnets for the fridge!!! Yesss! Priorities! :-)

Great Day!

An awesome day if I say so myself. Linda's birthday and R'Lena and family were able to make it. I am so happy they did! We played volleyball and ate way too much! Mother's Day we are going to chow down on some mexican food and head to Linda's for Wii tourny!

I am whooped!
